All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3 (ESV)

A Reminder
![]() |

I try to remind myself of this often. Not to make myself feel bad, but to remind myself that my sins are no less wrong than the sins of anyone else. My sins (less than generous thoughts about certain people or situations, coveting the belongings of friends, etc) act as a hammer pounding the nails into the hands of Jesus just the same as the sins of anyone else.
It also reminds me that no matter the sins (in truth or just my perception) of someone, God still loves them. I know this because, despite my sins, I know He still loves me.

Be Strong & Courageous

It is the beginning of a new year and many of us have made resolutions to be "better" (at or about something) in the coming months. Many of these resolutions require us to do things that are challenging for us. For me it is to eat fewer carbs, because it may help decrease the amount of inflammation I experience with my arthritis/spondylitis. Doesn't sound like much of a challenge to some, but boy do I love those carbs, especially in the form of french fries and chocolate (but not together).
It is comforting to know that wherever we are, or whatever we are attempting to do that God is with us.
